The Intermodal Driver Database (IDD) is a secured web-based system for Motor Carriers to provide and maintain driver identification information that is required to access specific intermodal facilities.
Developed by IANA in conjunction with other industry trade associations, the Global Intermodal Equipment Registry (GIER) is a technology-driven solution that links intermodal equipment to the responsible Intermodal Equipment Provider.
IANA’s DVIR services link the Global Intermodal Equipment Registry, IANA’s Intermodal Driver Database (IDD) and Uniform Intermodal Interchange and Facilities Access Agreement (UIIA) database to provide efficient access to the data needed for electronic DVIR reporting.
